ROE, or Return on Equity, measures the returns which shareholders earn on their investment. It is the first strategic performance measure in the ValueDriver™ model. ROE can be significantly improved by leverage as long as the RONA exceeds the cost of borrowing. Leverage (the use of debt) is a strategic driver of ROE, growth and value. |
